AOTTER's Big Data Company Aseal Adopts UID 2.0
2022-06-06
Aseal Inc., a subsidiary of AOTTER Group that focuses on mobile big data application services and digital advertising technology development, announced today the adoption of Unified ID 2.0 (UID 2.0), a next-generation internet identity solution led by The Trade Desk, to help partners implement better digital advertising strategies without relying on cookies. As one of the few advertising technology companies in Taiwan that simultaneously owns both a Data Management Platform (DMP) and Supply-Side Platform (SSP), Aseal will leverage traffic and data advantages from its mobile applications and websites to help media publishers continue growing and improve the digital advertising ecosystem.
In response to rising user privacy awareness, with iOS introducing App Tracking Transparency (ATT) and third-party cookies gradually becoming obsolete, advertisers and marketers are exploring more transparent and open digital advertising solutions. UID 2.0, as an innovative internet identity solution, provides a framework that aims to meet consumer expectations for more transparency and greater control while maintaining advertising relevance. It also supports the open internet and cross-device connectivity. UID 2.0 brings many benefits to the digital advertising ecosystem.
Aseal Senior Market Development Manager Chih-Chieh Chou stated: "As global privacy-related policies become increasingly stringent, the difficulty for advertisers and marketers to obtain user data has increased accordingly, highlighting the growing value of first-party data. Through years of operations, Aseal has accumulated substantial first-party data. We are delighted to adopt the next-generation internet identity solution UID 2.0 and will integrate with more platforms to develop diverse applications, enhance added value, and maximize the potential of first-party data."
The Trade Desk North Asia Senior Director of Media Partnerships Ping-Hsi Tsai stated: "The Trade Desk is committed to promoting a more privacy-focused open internet digital advertising ecosystem across devices and platforms. We are pleased that Aseal has adopted UID 2.0 to jointly explore the potential value of this new 'universal currency' for internet advertising and establish a trustworthy identity solution. We firmly believe that as more Taiwan ecosystem partners support UID 2.0, advertisers and marketers will be able to provide consumers with better experiences and higher transparency through less frequent but more relevant content."
Aseal is a subsidiary of AOTTER Group. The AOTTER parent group started with technology R&D, data tool development, new media ventures like AOTTER Girls and Nocturnal Netizen News, and other software and media businesses, accumulating significant traffic over time. Therefore, since Aseal's establishment in 2016, it has regarded first-party data as an important digital asset for media publishers and has focused on collecting first-party data. Aseal's AotterTrek data analytics platform analyzes over 3.5 billion user behavioral data points monthly. Through developing DMP and SSP platform services, Aseal's advertising network and AOTTER's media publisher role have pioneered integration into a digital advertising ecosystem, continuing to expand outward and considering how to help other media monetize through advertising and assist brand owners and advertisers in finding the most suitable target audiences and delivery channels.
AOTTER Deputy CEO and Aseal CTO Peng-Han Su pointed out: "The digital advertising industry is undergoing major transformation, and we must keep pace with the times. Email-based account login methods are increasingly being accepted by users, making now the optimal time to integrate UID 2.0. From a long-term perspective, we are more focused on the unlimited application and development opportunities that UID 2.0 brings to expanding our advertising technology and product roadmap. In the future, we will work closely with The Trade Desk to help media publishers seamlessly adopt UID 2.0 and drive revenue growth, ultimately helping advertisers enjoy the high efficiency and high-quality returns and advantages of the open internet advertising ecosystem."
